That Thing Called Love

“I don’t think you will
ever fully understand
how you’ve touched my life
and made me who I am.

I don’t think you could ever know
just how truly special you are
that even on the darkest nights
you are my brightest star.

I don’t think you will ever fully comprehend
how you’ve made my dreams come true
or how you’ve opened my heart
to love and the wonders it can do.

You’ve allowed me to experience
something very hard to find
unconditional love that exists
in my body, soul, and mind.

I don’t think you could ever feel
all the love I have to give
and I’m sure you’ll never realize
you’ve been my will to live.

You are an amazing person
and without you I don’t know where I’d be.
Having you in my life
completes and fulfills every part of me.”

“But I love her…”

That is why you need to let her go and let the magic of nature take its course.

“But she would be gone forever.I might never be able to see her again…”

Still you need to forget her because love cannot be forced. Its natural and if she loves you, she’ll return and if not then its better for the both of you that way. There are no halfway points in love.If there is love then its complete and if it is partial then its not love.

“Shouldn’t I go there and convince her about myself.Tell her how much I love her?”

Love doesn’t work that way.It flows by itself. You cannot change its path. You cannot make it flow towards you.Love is unconditional. You don’tΒ  have to prove anything in love. Its all implied. Its all implicit.

“So should I lose all hope of seeing her again?Of being with her again?Of loving her again?”

No…You never lose hope.Hope is the essence of Life. The essence of Love.Hope will keep you going.Hope for her happiness. And if that happiness involves you and leads her to you then that is wonderful. But even if it doesn’t,you’ll still know that you did the right thing by letting her go.So never lose hope.Just Hope for her good.

  1. If you love something set it free. If it comes back, its yours. And if does not, pretty soon you’ll realize that it wasn’t that much interesting anyway πŸ˜›

    • Hey Rusty…yeah I agree with you completely. But I wasn’t talking here of letting someone go before you even had him/her.Your views are totally true in that case.
Its about the time when things don’t really work out your way. Then I think that space and time and fate and true love are really important to get you back together. And if things don’t work out eventually then you do need to let that person go.

  3. “Love is unconditional. You don’t have to prove anything in love; Its all implicit.”
These lines in certain way unravel ‘That Thing Called Love’.
